The best television shows created are consistently created by the BBC. Dr. Who, Red Dwarf, Jeckyll, Torchwood and many many more. My more recent obsession with the BBC involves a show called Being Human.

Being Human is a drama/horror/comedy series, broadcast on BBC Three. It stars Lenora Crichlow, Russell Tovey and Aidan Turner as three twenty-something characters sharing a house in Bristol, trying to live a normal social life, despite being a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire.

TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The annual conference now brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).

The site makes the best talks and performances from TED available to the public, for free. These videos are released under a Creative Commons license, so they can be freely shared and reposted.
