Home again... jiggity jig.
I went to Daytona Beach this past weekend for an early Thanksgiving.
I really missed my Mother, Sister, and Grandfather. That place is soooooo not my home anymore, it was just draining to be there. Too many memories and most of them about me being fear stricken to change my life. I saw my friend Nils, and we hung out a bit. I spent most of the time there going on hour long walks to the graveyard to see my Grandmothers grave and thinking about the years I have wasted. I tried to do some writing while I was there but felt blocked and stifled by the atmosphere in that town.
I simply could not wait to jump back in the car and get back to Sarasota on Sunday. I got back early yet felt drained, and actually slept for a few hours once I got back here. My Grandfather said if I ever need to move back he will help me out with a place to live. Ugh... I dread if that ever happens.
That door in my life is forever locked, bolted, and boarded over. What changed in me?

The standard Atari joystick was not designed for comfort. Retro cool aside, looking at it now it resembles something you would expect to find on a spaceship from a bad B movie.
And now, thanks to the folks at Legacy Consumer Electronics for a mere $15, those bittersweet memories can come to your Windows, Linux or OSX system through this faithful USB recreation of the original Atari 2600 joystick. For the kids out there that read my random drug-addled ravings here is some history on the Atari 2600.

FutureMe.org is based on the principle that memories are less accurate than emails. Two fellas started this site so that you could write yourself a letter to be delivered at a later date.
We've all had to do them in high school and college. It's sorta cool to receive a letter from yourself about where you thought you'd be a year (two years? more?) later.
You can even buy a book of some randomly chosen letters also. I plan on ordering mine this weekend. I wonder what I shall write to myself.
I wonder if I should tell myself early about all the stupid shit I will most likely do.
Share & Enjoy.
Calm and hopeful.

The feeling was so surreal today that I really do pity anyone who feels bitter, when the rest of the World feels overwhelmed with joy.
It's very likely that a moment like this will never happen again in my lifetime.
I hope you stand behind your words, because the things you promised are the things the whole World needs from the USA. Make us proud again, Mister President.
Let us not be embarrassed to be American anymore!
