Now that celebrities like Brad and Angelina have made it super trendy to adopt babies from Africa, some naive couples are getting a little more than they bargained for.

Inspiring and moving speech...

Barack Obama's speech "A More Perfect Union" yesterday is one of the most inspiring and wonderful political speeches I've ever heard.

Once again I an simply moved by his words.

Watch out for Data Mines!!!

PMOG is the Passively Multiplayer Online Game. To play, you’ll need to get Firefox and add our Extension.

This unconventional massively multiplayer online game merges your web life with an alternate, hidden reality. The mundane takes on a layer of fantastic achievement. Player behavior generates characters and alliances, triggers interactions in the environment and earns the player points to spend online beefing up their inventory. Suddenly the Internet is not a series of untouchable exhibits, but rather a hackable, rewarding environment!

I even left some goodies here. ;)

Best explaination of Net Neutrality ever.

Individuals invented the internet yet now corporations claim they own own it - they claim it's their private property. If that's true then you don't have free speech online.

I disagree - I think free speech in "free speech zones" isn't free: it's dependent on having a public place to be heard - meaning public property like the internet.

This was created by FourEyedMonsters and this video is included on the current version of the DVD they sell off of their site.

I can not imagine what would happen if the world lost the internet. Be sure to check out the "Save the Internet" video, and their site too. Let's not let the Man take our Intertubes from us.

What are you waiting for?!?

Nine Inch Nails presents Ghosts I - IV, a brand new 36 track instrumental collection available right now. Almost two hours of new music composed and recorded over an intense ten week period last fall, Ghosts I - IV sprawls Nine Inch Nails across a variety of new terrain.

Trent Reznor explains, "I've been considering and wanting to make this kind of record for years, but by its very nature it wouldn't have made sense until this point. This collection of music is the result of working from a very visual perspective - dressing imagined locations and scenarios with sound and texture; a soundtrack for daydreams. I'm very pleased with the result and the ability to present it directly to you without interference. I hope you enjoy the first four volumes of Ghosts."

Stop dicking around, and go get it dammit!!!

Keep on rolling 20's in the Astral Plane.

A sad day for fans of role-playing games: The man who co-created Dungeons & Dragons is dead.

Gary Gygax died Tuesday morning at his home in Lake Geneva, Wis. His wife Gail says the 69-year-old had been suffering from health problems for several years.

Gygax and Dave Arneson developed Dungeons & Dragons in 1974 using medieval characters and mythical creatures. The game known for its oddly shaped dice eventually was turned into video games, books and movies.

It's considered the grandfather of fantasy role-playing games and has inspired legions of adoring fans. Gygax's wife says he always enjoyed hearing from them.

*bows head*
I will catch ya on the flip side and bring the Mountain Dew.

Scariest thing I have done in ages...

I have submitted one manuscript in the Genre Short Story category for the 77th Annual Writer's Digest writing competition.

What hell have a brought down upon my head?!?

I have never sent my stuff to ANY competition for any reason. I got the email and spent last night proof-reading and tweaking the first part of the larger story. Technically each part is self contained at the beginning of the book.

Ugh... I feel sick to my stomach that I sent this to a REAL group of writers and publishers.
